… and what i would have worn, if i were invited:
still drooling over dries van noten‘s fall ready to wear 2010 collection. love how the belgium designer mixes overly glamour with a little bit of casual sports wear.. i would love to own the look with the purple maxi skirt and olive sweatshirt! xo
got a new tumblr account, where i post many pictures of fierce clothing and photographs that i like, daily :)

this year, the met costume institute gala was paying a tribute to the late and great designer alexander mcqueen. though there were a lot of celebrities wearing the designer, i wasn’t really loving the looks. i don’t know why but i thought the dresses were kind of all over the place and boring at the same time.. many of them took inspiration from the movie black swan, and as amazing as i thought the movie was – this just seemed to dull-and to unoriginal.
the met costume gala is an event where you are expected to be over-the-top, original and well… wear “a costume”. so i was a little bit disappointed.. they should go all out with; the dresses, accessories, make-up and hair. something that wouldn’t be quite as acceptable anywhere else.
here are my favourite looks from the evening;
loving the styling in an editorial, in vogue spain.. (below) especially those balenciaga boots – which i would do ANYTHING to own! my favourite collections at the moment are the ones with a punk-rock’n’roll influence and edge, such as balmain, balenciaga and the little more girly brand isabel marant. xo
